Discovery Perlas Pilipinas to appeal their loss to Thailand

Basketball competition on the 26th SEA Games has officially ended, but not for the Philippine Women team who suffered a heart breaking loss to Thais after a controversial 3 point shot made by a Thailander less than a second left in the final period. Prior to that a Perlas player has been called for a travel after an attempt by a Thai shooter beyond the arc miss. She eventually run the ball after she got the rebound and hop thinking that the time has already expired or ended. That error gave the Thai's gunner knocked in a buzzer beating shot.

Cynthia Tiu, manager of Perlas Pilipinas is putting last Saturday's result into protests saying that they will fight for this until everything is settled with FIBA. Tiu also says that she cannot put aside the players effort to reach the gold match with Thailand. And after she saw the videotape showing the Thai stepped on the line when she fired the crucial shot counted by the referees as a game tying three point shot she is determined to fight for it.
