Anyway, below are prohibited during a boxing match.
*hitting below the belt holding
*tripping
*pushing
*biting
*spitting
*kicking
*head-butting
*hitting with any part of the arm other than the knuckles of a closed fist
*hitting with the elbow, shoulder or forearm
*hitting with open gloves, the wrist, the inside, back or side of the hand)
*hitting the back, back of the neck or head (called a "rabbit-punch") or the kidneys.
Not following these rules rules may be ruled "fouls" by the referee, who may issue warnings, deduct points, or disqualify an offending boxer, causing an automatic loss.
But, how about the Mayweather-Hatton fight? During the entire fight mayweather have using lots of elbows. On the video below you can clearly see that Mayweather has been consistently used his elbow against Hatton. But why referee Joe Cortez didn't give any warning or point deductions against Mayweather? Give your opinion guys.
