LA Clippers needs the extra period to give the raging Miami Heat their 2nd straight defeat this season. Lebron James is 9 of17 from the free throw area which in crucial time of the game he missed 2 of his 4 free throws which could have sealed the game on the regulation period. On the extra period James missed all of his 3 shots along with a turnover off a steal by Chauncey Billups. This is the 2 straight loss of the Heat with its Big 3 playing on the court together. Their previous defeat came from Golden State Warriors wherein Lebron James scored only 1 point on the entire 4th quarter.

Chris Paul lead the Clippers with a double-double performance with 27 points and 11 rebounds. Butler and Griffin shared 20 points a piece with Griffin having a double-double performance also with 12 points along with his double digit point. 27 seconds was left in the game and the Heat is still leading by a point when James fouled Chauncey Billups behind the arc. Billups sank 3 of those free throws that gives the Clippers a 2 point advantage 86-84. The game ends in the extra period with 95-89.
